Experience

I am a math teacher, certified grades 6-12. I have had over 13 years experience in tutoring 6th grade math to college level mathematics. I tutored college students in Pre-Calculus, Business Calculus, Calculus I-III, and Finite mathematics at the Office of Minority Student Affairs. I have worked with 4th-8th graders in different mathematics courses for the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University; the courses were: Survivor Math, Mathematics of Folding Paper, and Honors Geometry. During my undergrad years I worked closely with Edison Middle School for the Edison Tap In Leadership Program, teaching students engaging lessons on Pascal's and Sierpinski's Triangles, the relationship between Hexaflexagons and Mobius Strips, and angle measures from an Origami Pinwheel. I also helped run an after school math club, iMaths. I currently teach Algebra at Nichols Middle School in Evanston, IL.
